Singer, songwriter, and social activist Pete Seeger dominated American radio in the 1940s and 1950s with hit songs like "Where Have All the Flowers Gone," "If I Had a Hammer," and "Turn, Turn, Turn." From songs of protest to songs that advocated for civil rights, Seeger firmly believed that music can make a difference in social reform.
