Opera at Sea: Italy Summer 2025

 

Enjoy a 12-day excursion with Dr. Tom Cimarusti as he takes you on a journey of Italy's rich musical and culinary traditions! Your concierge excursion will begin with an overnight stay in Barcelona followed by a 7-day cruise on Cunar's Queen Elizabeth. After disembarking and a light lunch in Rome, we will travel 1st class via train to begin our 4-day land tour of Florence/Lucca and Milan. Your excursion will include performances at some of the world's most famous opera houses and traditional music venues, visits to instrument museums, and of course, some of the finest dining experiences the country has to offer, including one of the most celebrated of all restaurants in Italy, Enrico Bartolin al Mudec in Milan, the famous pizzeria DaMichele in Naples, and the Italian chocolatier Venchi in Florence. Your trip will begin on a 7-day luxury cruise on board Cunard's Queen Victoria with ports in Barcelona (Spain), Ajaccio (Corsica), Alghero (Sardinia), Messina (Sicily), and Naples (Italy). An additional four-day land tour will take you to Milan (La Scala) for a performance of Puccini's Turandot and  Florence/Lucca where we will visit the home/museum of Puccini and delight in some of the best gelato gelato the country has to offer!
