An opera-themed cruise to the Caribbean!

Beginning in 2020, the Center for Public Musicology is proud to begin an "Opera at Sea" excursion. The excursion will consist of a 5-day cruise to the Caribbean (Grand Cayman and Cozumel) porting out of Tampa on Royal Caribbean's Brilliance of the Seas. Your excursion includes roundtrip transportation to/from Tampa, ship gratuities, and all taxes. As your travel companion,  Dr. Tom Cimarusti will present lectures on all things opera (e.g., origins of opera, national styles, rarely performed operatic gems, etc).  In addition, we will enjoy viewing recorded operas from the world's most famous opera houses (e.g., Metropolitan Opera, La Scala) in our very own private space! Plenty of time will be scheduled for  pre- and post-opera discussions.
